The unique feature of the COMKIT5 is the bracket mount cylinder, which fixes directly to the 4 threaded holes often found on the centre section of Outboard Motor transom brackets. This keeps it very close to the front of the outboard, so ideal for tight installations where fouling may occur with other configurations. It's rated up to 235hp with right hand rotation propeller outboards, or 470hp with a counter-rotating pair. HyDrive cylinders integrate unique internal insulation between mismatched metals. This design eliminates the primary cause of galvanic corrosion found in other brand systems. HyDrive piston rods aren't chrome plated like other brands, so the issue of peeling chrome acting like razor blades on the seals doesn't exist.
