Argillite Raven & Beaver Totem Pole

This Raven and Beaver Totem Pole was hand-carved in argillite by Haida artist Ed Calder. Mischievous and curious, the Raven plays many important roles in Pacific Northwest Coast Culture. For some, he symbolizes creation, transformation, knowledge, prestige as well as the complexity of nature and the subtlety of truth. The pole measures approximately 4 1/2 inches or 11 1/2 centimeters high, 2 5/8 inches or 6 1/2 centimeters wide, and 2 3/4 inches or 7 centimeters deep.
