Whether you’re looking for a neighborhood tour or a brisk road workout before enjoying a pour, we’ve got two distinct routes and pace groups so everyone can ride comfortably. 🟢 Option 1: The Neighborhood Loop Distance: 25 miles Pace: Social (12-14 mph) Terrain: Some open Howard County roads, paved multi-use pathways, quiet neighborhood streets, mostly flat/gentle rolling hills. Vibe: No-Drop. We start together, ride together, and re-group at turns. Perfect for anyone who wants a morning workout before a beer. (GPS route files provided in advance!) 🔵 Option 2: The Distance Route Distance: ~45 miles Pace: Moderate to Brisk (15–17+ mph average) Terrain: Open Howard County roads, rolling hills, and light traffic areas. Vibe: A classic road ride for experienced road cyclists. While we’ll have designated regroup points, riders should be comfortable navigating road traffic and maintaining a steady pace. Sapwood to Howard County Trails 21 Mile NEWLY ADDED ROUTE Sapwood (Short) to Maple Lawn 32 Miles Sapwood (Long) to Maple Lawn 44 Miles 🗓 Schedule of Events 8:30 AM – Check-In Meet in the Sapwood Cellars parking lot. 9:00 AM – Wheels Up! Both groups roll out. 11 AM – 11:30 AM – Finish & Taproom Time: Wrap up back at the brewery just in time for early taproom pours and food from Albura Taqueria! ⚠️ Important Ride Details & Rules of the Road Helmets Required: Safety first—no helmet, no ride! Be Self-Supported: Please bring water, a helmet, and a spare tube/pump in case of a flat. Follow Traffic Laws: Rides are on open public roads and pathways. All cyclists must obey standard Maryland traffic laws. Non-Drinkers: Welcome on the ride! We have plenty of non-alcoholic options on tap for non-drinkers and designated drivers.
