This is a particularly striking Tetrad suite, combining thick genuine leather hide, woven wool seating, soft chenille scatter cushions and beautifully coordinated decorative fabrics. The carefully selected contrasting materials, textures and shades give the suite a wonderfully individual appearance with the relaxed luxury and country-house character for which Tetrad furniture is so highly regarded. Both sofas are exceptionally deep and generously proportioned, providing superb family seating while making a real statement within a room. ⸻ Design & Upholstery The substantial deep-buttoned arms, side panels and outer sections are upholstered in thick quality genuine leather hide, giving both sofas their distinctive character and impressive presence. The leather has been designed to develop a naturally aged appearance, with variations in tone and patina adding to the relaxed vintage character of the suite. The generously sized seat cushions are upholstered in textured woven wool, with the Grand featuring a lighter grey tone and the Midi a complementary darker charcoal grey. A particularly attractive finishing detail is the genuine leather piping around the seat cushions, made using the same leather as the arms and surrounding panels. This beautifully connects the contrasting wool and leather upholstery and demonstrates the attention to detail throughout the suite. Rather than conventional fixed back cushions, both sofas feature a luxurious scatter-back arrangement with soft chenille cushions, creating an exceptionally relaxed and comfortable seating position. The different shades of grey are complemented by deep navy accent cushions, introducing further depth and contrast to the colour palette. The Grand sofa also features coordinating bolster cushions, upholstered in an intricate paisley-inspired woven fabric with scrolling floral motifs in shades of light blue, navy and grey, with contrasting soft fabric backs. This same beautiful statement fabric is repeated across the large coordinating footstool and as detailing around selected scatter cushions, bringing the entire collection together. The thick leather hide has developed a beautifully aged appearance and displays natural creasing, colour variation, occasional marks and areas of sun fading consistent with genuine leather furniture. The Grand sofa displays more noticeable sun fading than the Midi, particularly to one side, resulting in variations in the shade of the leather. This can be clearly seen within the photographs and forms part of the naturally distressed character of the suite. The woven wool upholstery presents well overall; however, there are a few pulls to the fabric. One area of the Grand sofa’s back upholstery has also had a previous stitched repair, with the stitching remaining visible. This has been photographed clearly for complete transparency. The chenille scatter cushions and coordinating decorative cushions present well and provide excellent comfort. These are substantial, quality pieces of furniture and remain solid, comfortable and ready for their new home.
