O Sacrum Convivium (Jonathan Millican)
O SACRUM CONVIVIUM by Jonathan Millican This motet is suitable either as a communion motet or as an anthem at Choral Evensong. The text is usually synonymous with the festival of Corpus Christi in the Anglican tradition and this setting would suit this service well. The attractive soprano melody is accompanied by a colourful ATB harmonic language that culminates with a climax at 'et futurae gloriae...' a pledge of future glory given.
