Juneberry Shawl - Guided Knitalong
Dive deeper into lace knitting with the classic Juneberry Shawl in this three-session guided knitalong. Work at your own pace in a supportive, friendly environment with expert instruction every step of the way. Create a stunning botanical lace triangle in your choice of DK-weight (44½″ wingspan) or worsted weight (61″). Learn traditional Shetland shawl construction—from provisional cast-on through charted lace patterns to the elegant knitted-on edging. Skills Required: This class is for INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED KNITTERS with basic lace experience (increases and decreases, yarn-overs, etc..) and some experience working from charts. We will cover all the advanced stitches and bobbles used in the pattern, as well as each chart pattern to make sure the participants are on the right track. We will also cover the garter-tab cast-on and triangular shawl construction in the first class. Here's a breakdown of what each session will be like: 1. Cast-on, chart A. Homework: complete chart B 2. Check-in. Chart C in class (three rows); begin chart D. Homework: complete Chart D 3. Begin knitted-on edging.
