Years in the making, Absinthe Obscura is the result of the artist’s long pursuit to capture the essence and spirit of absinthe. The fragrance opens with the unmistakable bitterness of wormwood lifted by crushed anise and fennel seed. The herbal core is dry, deep, and dark, and feels more like an extract than infusion, with no sweetness to soften the edges. As it settles, bitter green herbs gather and deepen into verdant shadows. Black labdanum emerges beneath, resinous and dark, bringing the herbal elements deeper while a base of aged woods anchors the composition in an aura of something timeworn and mysterious.
