Grip Module – Matador Arms

Overview A G80 grip module built to be gripped hard. The standard module borrows the ergonomics of a GLOCK G19 Gen3 and disappears into the holster you already own. This one goes the other way: faceted texture on every surface your hand touches, a high beavertail, a deeply undercut trigger guard, and a magwell flared into the base of the grip. Underneath the shape, it is the same part. A completed G80 Unfinished Receiver drops in from above and pins in place with two grip pins, because this is a 120R module like every other grip in the G80 and G100 ecosystem. Nothing else about your build changes. Use the one M3 X 26 roll pin for the front pin hole and the included M3 x 22 roll pin for the rear pin hole. Shape and texture, not fit. The standard module is drawn to GLOCK G19 Gen3 ergonomics with a smooth, holster friendly profile. This one is aggressively textured, runs a higher beavertail, undercuts the trigger guard further, and flares into a magwell at the base of the grip. Both take the same completed G80 receiver and the same two grip pins. Will my G19 holster still fit? Check before you buy. The standard G80 Grip Module keeps the G19 Gen3 outline precisely so your existing holsters work. This module does not: the beavertail, the trigger guard undercut and the flared magwell all change the profile. A holster cut for a G19 with a magwell is the closer starting point, and a Kydex maker will want to know which grip module you are running. Which magazines does it take? The same magazines the platform takes: standard GLOCK G19 and Magpul PMAG 19 GL9. Longer G17 magazines will feed and will stand proud of the magwell. Can I move my receiver between grip modules later? Yes. This is the point of 120R. Drive out the two grip pins, lift the receiver out, drop it into another 120R module and pin it back in. Your completed receiver is not tied to the grip you bought it with, and swapping does not touch the finished part. Is the grip module the regulated part? No. The grip module has no fire control function. It is a housing, it is not a firearm, and it ships to your door without an FFL. The G80 Unfinished Receiver is the part everything else in the build hangs off, and it is sold separately. What else do I need? This is the grip module only. A build also needs a G80 Unfinished Receiver, a jig and the tools to finish it, a GLOCK G19 Gen3 compatible lower parts kit, and a slide and barrel. Note that the G80 Receiver supplies its own trigger pin, trigger housing pin and slide lock spring in place of the ones in a standard Gen 3 parts kit. Who is Matador Arms?
