With its plush fleece backing and excellent insulation, it'll keep you toasty on chilly days. Alpenfleece or Alpine Fleece is a double-faced tricot (knitted) fabric. The fabric has two different sides. The front is made of sweatshirt fabric (jersey or French terry) and the other side is made of soft longer pile fleece. This makes a wonderful combination, that's why the fabric is also called happy fleece.
