Koga Dolls are believed to have originated in the Edo period and are the oldest clay dolls in Nagasaki Prefecture. Alongside Fushimi dolls from Kyoto and Tsutsumi dolls from Sendai, they are regarded as one of the three major traditional clay dolls of Japan. This item is founded at an antique market in Japan. Please note that it may have some scratches or signs of wear due to its age. Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
