The skull-faced sorcerer Thulsa Doom’s origins go further back than the known history of the Hyborian Age, legend has it even beyond the Thurian Age, long before the waters swallowed fabled Atlantis. Formidable in both the dark arts and brute strength, through his many lives he’s been a bitter foe to both Kull and Conan. Thulsa Doom’s head was separated from his body in both space and time by the Snake of Many Colors, Jandlinatjari, in a fight with Thoth-Amon, but some day he is sure to return… Banished to the Pits of Arallu for more than a millennia, the sorcerer remained captive until The Devourer of Souls came to barter, seeking forbidden knowledge of the elder gods. Thulsa Doom exchanged this knowledge for his freedom but in doing so put all of creation at risk at the hands of the Devourer. Ever the survivor, Doom beseeched Conan to thwart this nefarious plot, leading to their unlikely alliance. Following the saga of Wrarrl, The Devourer of Souls, Thulsa Doom and Conan travelled the road to Koth together. This ill-fated alliance would result in deceit, death, and betrayal as chronicled in “The Seven Lives of Thulsa Doom!” “Doom hath lived many lives, O king - six in all.
