Roman Glass Earrings Hanging on 14K Gold Filled Wire from a Bronze Folded Round Post.

The earrings are fabricated with 14K gold filled wire attached to cast bronze folded round earrings with 14K GF post and heavy butterfly backs. Each Roman Glass bead is unique but they are approximately 1/2" wide. The earrings are 2" long. Also available in sterling silver Roman Glass Ancient Glass from the Roman Empire 2000 year old glass found at archeological excavation sites in Israel and other Mediterranean countries. The glass began life as vase, jug or vessel. Each piece as been textured and colored by centuries of wind and weather. The patina on the glass forms from a chemical reaction of the surrounding soils. It's said to have energies of transformation and rebirth.
