Solton SIERA TOP

Solton SIERA TOP is the MF/HF column of the SIERA system, built on Colinear Source technology. Six 5" MF drivers and two 1.75" Neodymium HF compression drivers mounted on two angled waveguides produce 120° horizontal coverage with 20° vertical control — the combination characteristic of true line source behaviour. At 180 x 1118 x 200 mm and 19 kg, the SIERA TOP delivers 137 dB maximum SPL with a minimal visual and acoustic footprint. Colinear Source Technology — 6x 5" MF and dual Neodymium HF on angled waveguides Colinear Source differs from a conventional line array arrangement (such as the CT 5 N) by placing two 1.75" Neodymium HF compression drivers on separate angled waveguides — each HF driver covers a different vertical zone of the column, extending effective bandwidth and throw range compared to single-HF column designs. Six 5" MF drivers cover the mid range, delivering clean, consistent vocal and acoustic instrument reproduction across the full 120° horizontal dispersion without pronounced cancellation zones. At 500 W continuous and 2000 W peak with a 137 dB maximum SPL, the SIERA TOP substantially outperforms conventional 4x 5" compact line array columns — approximately 15 dB above the CT 5 N at the same horizontal coverage width. The frequency range extending to 87 Hz (-10 dB) provides low-mid reach without a high crossover frequency. The Class D amplifier built into the SIERA SUB powers the top through the SC1 connector with integrated cabling — no visible speaker cables between system components. SC1 integration and flexible mounting — stack, fly and wall bracket The SC1 connector on the bottom of the top plugs directly into the SC1 socket on the SIERA SUB — tool-free connection without separate speaker cables. An additional NL4 connector (pins 1+/1-) allows powering the top from an external amplifier in installations where sub and top are separated. The WB 2 dual-axis wall bracket (art. 12564) mounts the top vertically or horizontally on a wall. The TU Frame (art. 12566) supports flying two SIERA TOP columns above the subwoofer in permanent installations where floor stands are not possible. The 15 mm birch plywood enclosure is finished in two-layer black polyurea coating; the front grille is backed with acoustically transparent, water-repellent fabric.
