Ebb and Flow Needlepoint Canvas
We’re excited to share our newest collaboration: Kim Hovell × Stitch Avenue Studio. Kim’s original painting Ebb and Flow has been reimagined as a hand‑painted needlepoint canvas, blending coastal artistry with modern stitching. Below is a message from Alex, the founder of Stitch Avenue Studio, about the inspiration behind her work and this special piece: Hi, I’m Alex, founder of Stitch Avenue Studio! I fell in love with needlepoint for the creativity it unlocks — and grew up surrounded by craft and tradition, thanks to my English grandmother, an avid seamstress, knitter, and cross-stitcher. With roots in Annapolis, Maryland, I’ve always been drawn to coastal living. I founded Stitch Avenue while living in New York City, dreaming up designs that bridge city life and the shore. Now based in Connecticut (hooray for more space!), I create playful canvases for the modern stitcher. Whether you’re stitching for your home, gifting a friend, or building a lifelong hobby — I hope these designs bring a little joy to your life. Thanks for being here!!
