Chocolate - Nutty - Grapefruit Rich, creamy and pronounced! - A people favourite! At Coffee Mongers we have always enjoyed some El-Jaguar and are super pleased to see it finally back! Indulgent dark chocolate and toasted brown sugar anchor the cup, balanced by a vibrant splash of citrus on the finish. It brews a velvety, full-bodied coffee with a remarkably clean aftertaste. Phenomenal as a filter brew, it also pulls into a thick, punchy espresso. Hailing from Chiapas, El Jaguar represents the absolute pinnacle of high-altitude Mexican coffee production. Grown near the shaded canopy of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, these Catuai and Bourbon trees thrive in a dense, humid cloud forest ecosystem. The consistent moisture and rich volcanic soils allow the cherries to ripen slowly under heavy shade. This careful growth process results in an incredibly sweet, low-acid coffee famed for its heavy, syrupy mouthfeel and comforting, chocolate-forward character.
