Wants vs. Needs Flowchart Poster for Consumer Math

Is it a want or a need? Sometimes it's hard to know! This flowchart helps guide students through the process of deciding if a purchase is a want or a need as they begin analyzing their spending and moving towards saving more of their money. I always start my consumer math curriculum with an analysis of the spending students already do in their day to day lives. The flowchart can be printed for student notebooks or enlarged into a classroom poster. There is a blog post linked inside to help with making a poster.
