Magnetic Pedestal Pad

Leave no hook behind. The Pedestal Pad fits over your vise pedestal and turns it into a magnetic tying station. Bare hooks and finished flies stay right where you put them while you clear away fur, feathers and other scraps. Each pad is handcrafted in the USA from American-made 60 mil (0.060") MuscleMag. It’s one of the strongest flexible magnets available, with a minimum pull of 180 lbs/ft². This one carries the J. Stockard Fly Fishing logo. Also check out the Mag Mat, a larger version to help keep your entire bench organized. Size: 6.1" x 6.0" Why tiers love it: Upgrade a small pedestal: If you have a travel vise or any pedestal smaller than 6" x 6", the pad gives you a full 6.1" x 6.0" tying surface. It’s magnetic on both sides, so it grips your metal pedestal and holds your hooks at the same time. Fits standard pedestals too: On a 6" x 6" pedestal, the extra 0.1" makes a small lip, so the pad is easy to lift off. Easy clean-up: Turn the pad upside down over the trash. The scraps fall off, and your hooks and flies stay put. Protects your vise: It keeps epoxy, paint and head cement off your pedestal. If your pedestal already has some stains, the pad covers them up right away. Better contrast: One side is white and the other is dark, so you can flip it to suit the fly you’re tying. Stay organized: The surface takes dry-erase marker, so you can keep a “to tie / to order” list right where you work. Built to last: The design is printed with the Deep Ink process, which infuses the image into the material instead of printing it on top. It won’t rub or wash off, and you can clean it with glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol.
