Hawken is our take on the Hawken plains rifle of the mid-1800s St. Louis and western frontier, a half-stock percussion rifle. It is authentic to the spirit of the originals, and because the inletting and hard machining are already done, it is a good first build for many. The design is ours and the machining is ours.
