Oak is made in Slatted Cladding only. Design idea: an Oak feature panel in a courtyard or behind a seating area; vertical slats make a low wall look taller, horizontal slats make a short wall look longer.Use Oak slats for a feature wall, screen or planter, or pair them with a building clad in our Wall Cladding in Black, Anthracite, Teak or Yellow Cedar. Hold samples side by side before you mix colours on one wall. How many panels do I need?Take the wall area in m², minus doors and windows, and allow 2.0 panels per m² (each panel covers 0.50 m², because part of it sits under its neighbour — plan with the 200 mm covering width, never the nominal 219 mm), adding 10% for windows, doors and angled tops. Composite cladding is combustible, we do not currently publish a reaction-to-fire class for it, and it cannot be used on the external walls of residential buildings with a storey 11 m or more above ground, or on relevant buildings 18 m or taller (Regulation 7(2) and Approved Document B, England), and rules are stricter within 1 m of a boundary. Check with your building control body before you clad any part of a house.Technical specification Product code OCW-CLSLT-250-OAK Colour Oak Panel size 2500 × 219 × 26 mm (nominal) Covering width 200 mm Coverage 0.50 m² per panel · 2.0 panels per m² Weight 2.85 kg per linear metre (about 7.1 kg per panel) Material Capped wood-plastic composite Surface Brushed woodgrain under a protective cap; recessed shadow gaps between four slats Fixing Cladding clips and M4.2 × 32 mm Torx screws on battens at 400 mm centres Air gap behind panels At least 25 mm, open top and bottom Clearance At least 20 mm above paving, 150 mm above soil or turf Reaction to fire (EN 13501-1) Not published Guarantee 20 years residential · 10 years commercial; limited, pro-rata QuestionsDoes Oak slatted cladding go with Oak & Teak decking? They share the Oak colour name, but cladding and decking are different products with different finishes.
