Curiosity Shop fabric

Curiosity Shop by Emily Sutton was developed from the artist’s original hand-drawn artwork. Created shortly after graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, the design was inspired by the toys and curiosities held in Edinburgh’s Museum of Childhood. Printed in dark blue and mustard on oyster linen union, it reflects Sutton’s enduring fascination with collected objects and the stories they carry. Curated as part of the St Jude’s collection of artist-designed fabrics, Curiosity Shop was awarded Best British Pattern at the British Design Awards, organised in association with Elle Decoration and The Daily Telegraph.
