Fine English Millefiori Paperweight Glass Perfume Bottle, 20th Century

A finely made English millefiori glass perfume bottle dating to the 20th century. The substantial clear glass body is cut with broad facets and encloses an intricate concentric arrangement of colourful millefiori canes in shades of red, pink, blue, turquoise and white. Viewed through the base, the canes form a highly decorative symmetrical floral composition, while the faceted sides magnify and refract the millefiori decoration throughout the body. The bottle retains its large faceted clear glass stopper, ground to fit the neck.
