Original lithograph in colours on cream Arches watermarked wove paper, sheet six from the portfolio Europäische Graphik I. Signed John Piper in pencil lower right and numbered from the edition of 65 lower left. Published by Galerie Wolfgang Ketterer Munich in collaboration with Felix H. Man, with their blindstamp to the sheet, and printed by Curwen Prints, London. Referenced in the John Piper catalogue raisonné by Orde Levinson, 120. Image size: 555mm x 440mm. In good condition with strong, bright colours and full margins, very occasional light marks well away from the image. The two tiny pin holes above and below the image are printing registration marks, the bottom one has very slight abrasion to the paper. A particularly beautiful, eye-catching and rare image, daring in its pure simplicity, and consequently one of our very favourite abstract John Piper prints.
