Elephant Lokta Paper Lantern

The elephant is often associated with strength, wisdom and good fortune, while also being a symbol of patience and a steady approach to life. Here, the elephant is given a much more playful feel, with bold, hand-drawn lines and simple floral details. Its cheerful character can be a little reminder not to take everything too seriously, and to carry a lighter spirit into the day. Made in Nepal from handmade Lokta paper, a traditional Nepalese paper made from the inner bark of the Lokta plant, each lantern has its own natural texture and character. The design is hand-painted, so small variations are part of its charm. When lit, the paper gives a soft, warm glow that brings the artwork gently to life.
