Huell Melon – Delicious and sweet. This hop’s unique yet mild fruity character makes it a great choice for beer styles where a dominant hop flavor is not desired. It has a fruity and sweet aroma, with honeydew melon, apricot, and strawberry being the most prominent flavors. Huell Melon’s unique but mild fruity profile is an excellent option for brews that require a subtle hop presence. It was developed in 2012 at the Hüll Hop Research Institute as a daughter of Cascade. Usage: Aroma Country of Origin: Germany Harvest Year: 2020 Alpha Acid Content: 7,0% Package Size: 100 grams Packaging: The hops are carefully weighed, nitrogen-flushed, and sealed in a light-proof, aluminum-coated package for optimal shelf life. Flushing with nitrogen displaces oxygen, which would otherwise degrade the quality of the hops. This method reduces the oxygen content in the package to 0.6-0.8%, which is excellent for preserving quality, flavor, and aroma. The hops package should be stored in a cool place at <4 degrees Celsius. Once opened, the package should be compressed and sealed with a zip-lock for continued storage in the refrigerator.
