This is our newest, legendary Seido “Keiko Training style” model, made with the highest-quality heavy Tetron fabric (Tetrex) available on the market. It features a classic cut with some extras: fabric reinforcements on the lateral openings and the crotch area to prevent tearing; hanger straps for easy drying after practice or washing; and longer and wider straps (himo) that make this hakama comfortable to wear for waist sizes up to 95cm. The flexible rubber backplate is both comfortable and durable, and the entirely machine-stitched backplate area is built to last. The additional line of hand stitching at the inside bottom of the backplate can be cut open easily to remove and replace the Koshiita if necessary. The Tetron fabric called “Tetrex” is produced by the famous brand Toray. Heavy, durable and high quality - perfect for intense practice. Like all our Hakama, this model is fully made in Japan (fabric, cut, and stitching). Maintenance: This model may be hand-washed in cold water and dried on a hanger (securing the folds using clothespins). We recommend washing it separately, as the color might bleed slightly. The pleats are sewn on the inside and therefore the stitchings are completely invisible when worn. The result however is that the pleats are better kept, and the "puffed out" aspect of the Hakama will be reduced.
