[3 cards designed by Sue Allen]

To wish friends, family, and colleagues a happy 1979, Sue Allen designed a card printed via letterpress in seven colors. Husband and printer Greer Allen must have liked to clean the press. Or he really loved his wife to put up with all that solvent. The following year their card had maybe as many as nine colors! In the years that followed, they sent out an undated folding card that had only five colors. (There is a tiny design credit for Sue set in what looks to be Bauer Elisabeth printed in light gray on the back.) Anyway, a neat set of cards from two important figures in design and the scholarship thereof.
