Handmade silver and citrine sun burst ring

52 Ring Collection – Ring 47 Silver & Citrine Sun burst Ring A little bit of Art Deco, reimagined in silver. At the centre of this delicate silver ring sits a 3mm rose-cut citrine, surrounded by a stylised sun motif. The geometric detailing gives the ring a distinctly Art Deco feel, but the proportions and handmade details bring it firmly into the present. On either side of the central stone are two smaller 2mm citrines, each flanked by tiny silver granulations. Together, the three warm golden stones sit neatly within the polished silver, giving the ring a subtle flash of colour without overwhelming the design. This ring feels like another step in the developing style of my studio – drawing on historical jewellery and decorative details, but interpreting them in a simpler, more contemporary way. I particularly like the contrast between the precise, almost architectural lines of the sun motif and the softer, naturally faceted surface of the rose-cut citrines. Each ring is made by me in my Dorset studio and is a one-off design. As the collection develops, so does my own style – each ring is an opportunity to experiment with different materials, techniques and ideas. Once it’s gone, there won’t be another exactly like it.
