Custom progressive rate rear coil springs from Geiser Off-Road for the 2022+ Ford Bronco Raptor. A pair of rear springs, about 1.5" of rear lift, wound to add strength for heavier loads rather than just ride height. They run on the factory rear shocks and work with the FOX Live Valve system with no recalibration required. Powder coated gloss dark slate grey. Who These Are For This is the rear pair on its own, for owners who are carrying weight at the back and want the rear to stop squatting under it — a rear bumper, a tire carrier, a roof tent, fuel and gear for a long weekend, or a bed full of tools. Lift, Spring Rate and Load Capacity A progressive rate spring is softer at the start of its travel and firms up as it compresses, so one spring can handle both an unloaded daily drive and a loaded weekend without feeling like a compromise at either end. Geiser load tested these rear springs with 400 lb in the rear plus a 100 lb spare and roof rack, and the vehicle settled 1" under that load. Expect about 1.5" of rear lift unloaded. Live Valve and Tire Clearance These springs work with the factory FOX Live Valve suspension. Recalibration is not required, though you are welcome to have it done. Geiser rates the full front and rear spring kit to accommodate a 39" tire, with trimming possibly required depending on tire size and wheel offset. Run on their own, the rear springs add ride height and load capacity at the back of the vehicle. What Pairs Well With Them Raising the rear moves the rear axle sideways relative to the body. An adjustable billet panhard bar lets you recenter it, and takes the rubber out of the last place it is hiding back there. If you are adding weight because you are going further out, the rear hydraulic bump stop kit is the other thing worth doing at the same time — the rear of the vehicle is bare past the shock's own limits without it. No top hat is involved back here. The Bronco Raptor's rear shock mounts differently from the front and does not use one, so there is nothing to change at the rear mount. Installation Notes This is a spring swap — the factory rear shocks stay on the vehicle. Geiser recommends a wall mounted spring compressor for the job. Factory coil springs are under significant tension. Compressing them requires the proper equipment and procedure, and improper installation can result in serious injury or damage to the vehicle. A lift collar adds preload to the spring you already have and is the simplest way to set ride height. A heavier progressive spring is the better answer once you are carrying real weight, because the rate is chosen for the load rather than borrowed from a spring that was not rated for it.
