VINTAGE PIERCED METAL EVENING PURSE - BIRD & FLORAL DESIGN - SHOULDER OR CLUTCH

A lovely vintage pierced metal evening purse featuring an intricate bird and floral motif in a decorative openwork pierced design. This charming silver-tone handbag has wonderful vintage appeal and can be carried as a clutch or worn with the attached chain strap. Estimated to date from the 1960s based on style and construction. The chain has darkened with age and there are darkened spots and discoloration on the lower portion and bottom of the purse consistent with age-related patina. I have not attempted to polish or clean the metal and will that up to the new owner if you wish to do so. Please review all photos as they are part of the description. The chain and portions of the metal exterior of the purse show age-related darkening and discoloration consistent with vintage wear. I have not attempted to clean or polish the metal. Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower. Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it. The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival.
