JBL L100 Classic 75th Anniversary Edition Speakers (Serial 000)

The JBL L100 Classic 75 is the 75th anniversary edition of the speaker that started the whole L100 story, built as a three way bookshelf pair on its own floor stands. It pairs a 12 inch cast frame pure pulp cone woofer in a front ported bass reflex cabinet with a 5.25 inch polymer coated pure pulp midrange and a 1 inch titanium dome tweeter on an acoustic lens waveguide, crossed over at 450 Hz and 3.5 kHz. Sensitivity is 90 dB into a 4 ohm load and JBL rates it for 25 to 200 watts. Front panel L-pad attenuators let you adjust the midrange and treble to the room. The anniversary edition is finished in teak veneer behind the Quadrex foam grille and was limited to 750 pairs worldwide. What makes this pair different from the other 750 is the serial number: 000. These are the not for sale demonstration units JBL built for its own use, the pair pictured on JBL's own website. They were never allocated to a dealer and never sold at retail, which makes them the only set of L100 Classic 75s that will ever carry that number.Specs Type Three way bookshelf loudspeaker pair with floor stands Low frequency driver 12 inch (300 mm) pure pulp cone woofer (JW300SW-8) Mid frequency driver 5.25 inch (130 mm) pure pulp cone midrange (JM125PC-8) High frequency driver 1 inch (25 mm) titanium dome tweeter (JT025TI2-4) Recommended amplifier power 25 to 200 W RMS Impedance 4 ohms Sensitivity 90 dB, 1 W at 1 m Frequency response 40 Hz to 40 kHz (-6 dB) Crossover frequencies 450 Hz and 3.5 kHz Enclosure Front ported bookshelf with a front firing tuned port Controls High frequency and mid frequency L-pad attenuators Inputs Dual sets of gold plated binding posts Finish Teak wood veneer, the edition limited to 750 pairs worldwide Grille Quadrex foam, the original L100 pattern Dimensions with stands 32.4 in H x 15.4 in W x 14.6 in D (823.6 x 390.4 x 362.4 mm) each Weight with stands 77.4 lbs (35.1 kg) each Shipping weight in crate 284.3 lbs (129.2 kg) Shipped as Pair with stands, in a purpose built wooden crate See pictures for condition.
