Fallen Leaf Butterfly Crossbody Bag

The butterfly on this bag was inspired by the dead leaf butterfly. The photos show the details better than I can describe them. Look closely and you’ll see how much time went into it, especially the way the edges of the wings were finished. The bag is also made from plant-dyed fabric. The colors shift across the cloth without following a fixed pattern, so every bag is cut from a slightly different section. Each one has its own color placement, and no two will look exactly alike. The shoulder strap is braided by hand from strips of fabric and colored yarn. The bag closes with a zipper, and there is another zip pocket inside for keys, cards and other small things.
