This one-of-one abaya was constructed from graphic T-shirts donated to the Barakah Community Closet, transforming everyday clothing into an entirely new textile. Rather than forming a continuous surface, individual graphic-tee patches reveal glimpses of the plaid underlayer beneath, giving the piece an intentionally reconstructed, grunge-inspired character. Created for the Threads of Renewal 2026 runway and finished with pockets.
