Phonak CROS EON

Phonak CROS EON CROS EON is Phonak’s contralateral routing device for single-sided deafness or unaidable hearing loss in one ear. It picks up sound on the unaided side and sends it wirelessly to an Audéo EON R worn on the better-hearing ear, so the wearer can take in sound from both sides rather than losing everything on the affected side. CROS EON is a prescription device and requires a professional fitting. It pairs exclusively with the Audéo EON R; it is not compatible with EON Sphere. We have not yet fit CROS EON in clinic; what follows reflects what Phonak has published so far. Key Features Pairs with Audéo EON R only. ERA chip: CROS EON runs on the same ERA chip used across the EON line for its wireless connectivity, without a HYPERSONIC chip, since CROS EON is a transmitter rather than a device running Spheric Speech Clarity. Universal Bluetooth connectivity and Auracast broadcast audio support, same as the rest of the EON line. Roger compatible, for added clarity in noisy or distant listening situations. Up to 20 hours of battery life on a full charge, per Phonak; lower than EON R and EON Sphere since CROS EON is a transmitter rather than a standard hearing aid. EasyGuard dome compatible. Available Colors Phonak offers CROS EON Sphere in eight colors: Sandalwood, Velvet Black, Graphite Gray, Silver Gray, Champagne, Sienna Red, Chestnut, and Sand Beige, designed to blend with a range of hair colors and skin tones.
