FAT LINE (compressor)

FAT LINE Who doesn’t like a nice fat line? A fat musical guitar line, no devils dandruff here! Well, I haven’t built many compressors. Four in total up until now. One of which, the one this is based on, was a prototype I built a few years back and I still use to this day (photo on the IG page). I leave it on nearly all the time. So, this Fat Line thing…. Compressors might not be for everyone but, if you do decide to dip your toe in, this is a good one! No unnecessary controls here, just Level and Tune. Set the Level to unity gain (or just above if you want a slight boost) and Tune in the amount of compression you want. Simple. Fattens everything up nicely and there is a decent helping of squish if thats your thing. You can also use the Level control to drive your amp, so its a very musical overdrive too and it also works well into other overdrives and distortions. Very quiet too! The build and the parts: All handmade by me, my usual slightly over-engineered build style and good quality, solid parts which I have spent some time auditioning. Strip board circuit construction, custom made aluminium earthing bracket/circuit mount and use of traditional through-hole components (no tiny SMD bits and bobs here). I have mostly opted for high quality modern parts to try to avoid the availability headache and also for reliability reasons. This pedal will outlast all of us. Finish is professionally painted in powder white (naturally) and black and orange screen print. Fat Line is powered by 9v PP3 type battery or your external power source. This is a batch of 25 pedals, they are complete and tested. We will start shipping during w/c 28th Sept and you will receive tracking updates shortly thereafter. I ship Worldwide, tracked/signed for (double boxed) and all my pedals come with a 10 year guarantee. Though in over 20 years I have never once charged for a repair of one of my pedals, in or outside the warranty period (toured, beat up or whatever the condition it arrives in).
