Hoya Thomsonii 12cm H10cm

Meet the Hoya thomsonii—the silver-dusted star. With her fuzzy, velvet-soft leaves splashed with metallic silver and clusters of snow-white flowers that smell like fresh jasmine, she’s the ultimate winter-bloom icon. Lush, shimmering, and undeniably cozy, she’s here to turn your home into a fragrant mountain retreat. The Formal Name: Hoya thomsonii The Nickname: Fuzzy Himalayan Hoya Roots: A cold-hardy epiphytic species native to the high-altitude forests of the Himalayas. Natural Vibe: Growing in the cool, misty canopy where sheaks up moisture through her fuzzy leaves. Care Guide: Sunlight: Bright, indirect light. She needs light to produce those silver splashes, but avoid burning midday sun. Best Room: A bright bedroom or living room corner that stays a bit cooler in the evening. Snacks: A weak houseplant fertiliser every month during the growing season. Tropical Feels: She loves humidity but needs good airflow to prevent her fuzzy leaves from rotting. Cosy Factor: One of the few Hoyas that actually enjoys cooler temps (12–22°C). She needs a cool snap to bloom! Thirst: Let the top inch of soil dry out. She likes a bit more water than the thick-leaved succulents. Safety First: Pet-Friendly! Safe for all your indoor companions. The Bedding: A light, airy mix with plenty of sphagnum moss and orchid bark. Family Tree: Propagate via stem cuttings—they root well in damp moss. Space Needs: A trailing beauty that looks stunning in a hanging basket. Speed: A steady grower that comes alive during the cooler months. Uninvited Guests: Watch for aphids on the new growth and flower clusters. Moving Day: Repot every 2 years to ensure her soil stays fresh and airy. Haircut: Avoid pruning the flower spurs so she can re-bloom next winter! Fresh Air: A fragrant air-cleaner that adds a touch of silver magic to your home. Plant Lore: Her fuzzy leaves are an adaptation to trap moisture from the mountain mists.
