Most undermount basins are a rectangle with the corners taken off. This one is drawn as a curve - a soft, asymmetric shape closer to a river stone than a box.Crafted from solid-gauge brass — hand-hammered to a thickness that rings true. Pick it up and you’ll know the difference.It is harder to make, and it is the reason the sink reads as sculpture once it is set under stone. The brushed finish runs with the curve rather than across it, so the light travels the length of the basin instead of stopping at a seam.Solid brass throughout, never plated, never brass-toned steel. Hand-brushed and left unlacquered, which means the satin surface will warm and soften over the first year into something closer to old gold.
