This gorgeous purple Aroha stone was personally hand-collected by us locally here in Queenstown. Each piece carries a distinctive shimmer from its mica content, with beautiful schist layers. Sourced with care and intention, this stone reflects the wild beauty of the West Coast landscape, where river, mountain, and time shape every surface. No two pieces are ever the same, making each one truly unique. From our hands to yours, it holds a story of family, land, and the journey from earth to adornment. Size : 7.5cm x 3.5cm Bound on Wax polyester extendable cord Aroha Stone (Piemontite Schist) A beautiful variety of schist that can be found in many regions throughout New Zealand, Aroha, or Piemontite schist, is known for its pink and purple tones that can range from soft and dusty to deep and vibrant. This stone is named after the Māori word for love, an apt title given its romantic colouration and the shimmer caused by the mica found within the stone. We source our aroha from throughout Otago and along the West Coast. Aroha is said to contain healing energy that is best suited for those who carry trauma or are suffering from addiction. *Please remember that all of our NZ stones are a Natural product of the earth. Take care not to drop or knock them on hard surfaces as they will break.
