A Special Guest Workshop with Amruta Walvekar of Wrapistry Join us at Stapleford Granary for an exclusive three-hour workshop with Amruta Walvekar, founder of Wrapistry & The Ink Apothecary, published calligraphy author and internationally experienced calligraphy instructor. With over a decade of teaching experience and a particular expertise in the art of flourishing, Amruta will be sharing her knowledge and techniques in a festive workshop dedicated to creating beautifully expressive lettering. Beginning with the fundamental principles of flourishing, Amruta will guide you through the techniques used to create elegant, flowing strokes, exploring how simple shapes and movements can transform your lettering. Throughout the workshop, you'll develop your confidence and muscle memory through guided exercises, learning not only how to create graceful, balanced flourishes, but also how to assess and refine your own work. You'll finish by putting your new skills into practice, flourishing your own name and creating a personalised bookmark to take home, with individual guidance and feedback from Amruta. Please note: This workshop is designed for those with some previous pointed-pen calligraphy experience and is not suitable for complete beginners. You should be comfortable with basic calligraphy strokes and letterforms, and will need to bring your own pen holder & nib. What's included: Detailed workshop notes • Set of guide sheets • Tracing paper • Pencils • Sumi ink • A flourished name card • Gift bag with premium stationery • Books will be available to purchase along with other calligraphy items Location: Stapleford Granary, Bury Road, Stapleford, Cambridge, CB22 5BP
