Hastings Quail Seal

Inspired by the quail depicted on my aunt and uncle’s wine label, the Hastings Quail is a tribute to family and belonging. Long associated with renewal and abundance, the quail is a ground-dwelling bird often found among grasses and sheltered places, living in close company with its covey. Here, it is encircled by oak leaves and acorns, traditional symbols of strength and endurance, and a nod to the oak-studded landscape of Paso Robles, where my aunt and uncle tend their vineyard.
