The AutoTecknic Dry Carbon Front Bumper Inserts Set swaps the factory inserts at the outer edges of that bumper, right below the headlights, for real carbon weave. It's the first thing people see when your X7 pulls in, and now it actually looks like it belongs on a six-figure SUV. This isn't a wrap, a hydro-dipped plastic part or a printed carbon pattern. Each insert is 100% genuine pre-preg dry carbon fiber in a gloss twill weave, shaped to match the factory part. The left and right sides come as a matched pair, so the weave reads the same on both corners of the car. It's then cured under heat and pressure. Installation Notes These inserts replace the factory front bumper inserts and clip into the factory mounting points. If you've pulled exterior trim on a BMW before, you can do this in your driveway with plastic trim tools. If you haven't, have a body shop or installer do it. Factory clips break easily, especially in cold weather. Wash and dry the front bumper around both inserts. Do one side at a time so the untouched side shows you how the factory insert sits. Use plastic trim tools to release the factory insert, working slowly from one edge. Test-fit the carbon insert and check alignment and panel gaps before seating it. Line up the mounting tabs and press evenly until every tab seats fully, then repeat on the other side. Protect the finish like paint, with a pH-neutral wash and a sealant or ceramic coating.
