TYNINGHAME Photographer Soo Burnell in creating this series wanted to do more than highlight the architectural quality of these spaces; she wanted to reflect the stillness and the sense of calm that keeps drawing her back to these pools with their dynamic volumes and still waters. This collection of exhibited works showcases historic pools alongside contemporary spaces, from the Victorian pools that started it all in Edinburgh, including Glenogle, Drumsheugh and Portobello, to the dramatic architecture of the London Aquatics Centre, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, and the exquisitely detailed Turkish Baths in Harrogate.
