Blooms and Bonbons

Get into the Thanksgiving spirit with a morning of chocolate and flowers. We’re teaming up with our friend Lorraine of Fresh Cut Fridays, Brooklyn’s beloved flower shop inside Sycamore bar, for a hands-on workshop pairing bonbon decorating with fall floral arranging. Part One: Bonbon decorating You’ll get six “blank canvas” bonbons to decorate and take home: three filled with dark chocolate and sea salt ganache and three with salted caramel and crunchy pecan praline. We’ll walk you through a variety of decorating techniques, and you’ll get to finish them with fresh edible flowers from the week’s flower market. Part Two: Fall floral centerpiece Once your bonbons are done, we’ll pivot to florals. With Lorraine’s guidance, you’ll create a seasonal centerpiece using blooms and finds from her Friday flower market adventures, using a gourd as a vessel. It will be a gorgeous addition to your Thanksgiving table, and the timing is perfect.
