CGE Ribbon Microphone

Here’s a CGE Ribbon Microphone from the 1940’s! These Italian ribbon microphones resemble the RCA 74-B, and were likely made as a copy. Internally, these have a strong ribbon motor with great output. These mostly came stock with high impedance transformers, so this one has been modded with a new low impedance transformer. Overall, you’re going to get more low end out of this one than a traditional “74-B” sound, which typically has a low end roll-off. Aside from some paint wear and an unoriginal stand mount, this one is working great and makes a great lower cost alternative to some of the more well known brands. This one has a new ribbon and XLR cable, ready for use! Grab this Italian CGE Ribbon microphone from the 1940’s!
