That feeling is what I wanted to bring into this painting. Her eyes are closed, her chin slightly lifted. There is something peaceful about her, even with so much colour moving across her face and body. For me, those colours hold the different parts of who we are. The happy moments, the difficult ones, the things we show people and the feelings we keep to ourselves. They all belong. The Colour of Being is about feeling comfortable in your own skin. You can still be changing, still figuring things out, and allow yourself to enjoy who you are today.
