The entire piece is constructed from a cotton-based rib-knit fabric, blended with the softness of viscose and the fullness of wool. The underarm panels incorporate gussets made using a pintuck technique to create folds that improve fit and ensure the necessary range of motion for raising the arms. While maintaining a flat structure, it emphasizes a rounded outline to create a unique volume and silhouette. Darts are incorporated into the shoulder seams to shape the sleeves. These details also serve as design accents. The darts on the back were originally lines discovered by chance during the basting (fitting adjustment) process, and were ultimately adopted as a design element representing the marks of the creation process.
