An intimate and bespoke object of art, the fragrance is contained in a prismatic glass jar with zinc alloy lid. Inspired by the objects featured in the film, this is for those obsessed with fragrance and seeking to immerse themselves into the world of the Werwulf. SMELLS LIKE: Skin, damp earth, root, resin, and the suggestion of wet fur. Animalic, earthen, and unnervingly alive. PRODUCT DETAILS The Werwulf Candle measures approximately 4.5" x 3.5" and is filled with 8oz of scented wax. The glass vessel's faceted edges have been hand polished to achieve a prismatic effect. The lid is zinc alloy with an electroplated finish. This limited edition object of art should be kept long after the wax burns. Clean the vessel out and use this jar to hold something else. FRAGRANCE STORY In partnership with Robert Eggers X Focus Features, Heretic is proud to collaborate on Werwulf, the scent of the beast awakening beneath human skin. This fragrance explores the moment of transformation, when civility gives way to something older. Warm skin, damp earth, root, resin, and the suggestion of wet fur create a fragrance that feels bodily and unnervingly alive. Colde herbes bite the ayre. Wormwood riseth bitter and lunar, whispered with olde charms against the darke. Cardamom warmeth the skin like breath in winter. Elemi seeps from wounded fir bark, sharp and sacred. Deeper in the wode, the human scent beginneth to change. Smoke and leather bloom upon the skin. Castoreum and costus stir with fur, hide, and heat. Olde tales wake — of warriors in wolf-skins, walking the forest as beastes. Fir balsam bleeds from black trunks. Labdanum burneth beneath the ribs. Patchouli, vetiver, moss, and damp earth open below. Something primal moveth under the skin. Soft musks linger like the trace of fur in winter ayre. Wer — Man. Wulf — Wolf. BEGIN THE EXPERIENCE RITUAL USE In a quiet moment, light the wick and let the scent slowly carry you beyond the beyond the modern and familiar. Step into the dark and feral forest, where civility gives way to something older. Heretic candles are hand poured with vegetable wax and unleaded wicks. To prevent damage, make sure to trim the wick to ⅛ of an inch every time the candle is lit. Do not let it burn for more than 4 hours at a time and please place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. For the best candle performance, allow the wax pool to completely liquify, extinguish, and let cool. PRECAUTIONS: Never leave a burning candle unattended or burning for more than 4 hours. Keep away from drafts, children, pets, and all flammable materials.
