Mark has been building wheels for 39 years, and has built hundreds while working at Analog. He builds all of our wheels, and (James) checks em over, cause a second set of eyes is never a bad thing. Hub Specs: White Industries Mi5 Hubs. The reference touring / atb rim brake hub. High static load rating means they can take a serious knock. Steel axles for toughness. Ti freehub body is light and more durable than an aluminum freehub. Oversized Enduro bearings. Bearing preload is adjustable with minimal tools you probably have laying around. US made in a solar powered facility. Best finish of any hub, with the exception of Schmidt, and the Schmidt isn't nicer, it's just equally good. 100mm Quick release front, 135mm quick release rear. Quick releases not included! Spokes and Nipples: Pillar Quad Butted spokes 14/15/14/13 gauge, silver. Pillar brass nipples, silver. Rim: Rollcii GRA21 rim brake rim. The perfect all arounder rim brake rim. Not too light, certainly not heavy, stiff, beautifully machined brake track, builds up straight, holds a nice high tension for a responsive wheel. If you are running tires between 30mm and 54mm, the Rollcii GRA21 rim is ideal. There's enough meat for bike packing, but at just over 500g for the 700c version, it's not a slug on paved roads either. If you are doing a little bit of singletrack, some tarmac, some commuting, and some weekend tours, this is your rim. Need a beefier rim than a Velocity Quill or a lighter, more sprightly rim than a Velocity Cliffhanger?
