Forest Dreaming is the deepest blue of my fern bookmarks. Dense fronds of rough tree fern (Cyathea australis) from my conservation property in the Southern Tablelands of NSW fill the design. Cyanotype makes this Prussian blue, the same colour as the first blueprints. This bookmark is a print of my handmade original, on firm recycled card with the design on both sides. The sleeve has space for a message, so you can write a note for a mum who reads every night, or for the person who says they want nothing this year. It fits a Christmas stocking and gets used long after the paper is gone.
