The thyme is the center: three chemotypes, each with its own chemistry, giving Special Thyme™ a wider range of constituents than any one of them alone. The cineole oils bring 1,8-cineole, the compound behind the fresh smell of eucalyptus, from four different plants. The supporting oils broaden the constituent profile: pinene in Pine Needle, linalyl acetate in Lavender, and citral in Melissa. Together they keep the thyme from dominating. How We Use It Diffusion Add a small amount to your diffuser according to the manufacturer's instructions. Diffuse for a short interval, then switch off once the aroma is established. Personal Aromatic Use Place a small amount on an aroma strip or cotton wick. Hold at a comfortable distance and inhale briefly. Aromatic Character Herbaceous, pleasant and well balanced. On first sniff you’ll find the thyme and fresh eucalyptus, without the medicine-chest edge some thyme blends carry. Dry pine and a sweet note of bay laurel round off the sharper side of the thyme. Lavender takes the medicinal note down further, without making the blend floral. A trained nose will pick up the light brightness of Melissa at the top. Questions & Answers Before you buy QWhat is 1,8-cineole, and why is it in Super Immune™? 1,8-Cineole, also called eucalyptol, is a naturally occurring constituent best known from eucalyptus. It gives eucalyptus much of its fresh, penetrating character. Super Immune™ brings together four cineole-bearing oils — Eucalyptus Narrow Leaf, Ravintsara, Rosalina and Bay Laurel — each with its own additional constituents and aromatic character. QHow is Super Immune™ different from Special Thyme™? Special Thyme™ is the thyme on its own, made for experienced users and formulators. Super Immune™ is Special Thyme™ already blended with Eucalyptus Narrow Leaf, Rosalina, Ravintsara, Bay Laurel, Pine Needle, Lavender and Melissa, ready for brief diffusion.
