Antique Rustic Travertine Fireplace Surround

A substantial carved travertine fireplace surround of classical neo-Georgian design. The rustic texture has elegant fluted jambs and a finely decorated frieze. The frieze is centred with scrolling foliate ornament and framed by carved paterae to each end block. The jambs have simple fluted detailing that gives the surround a restrained architectural elegance.
